Rules for Commenting

Our rules for commenting are fairly simple. These are:

1. Valid email addresses – Email addresses of members are verified upon registration. Spamming? Tell us about that. We hate spam as much as you do. (More information? Please read our Privacy Policy. You may also visit SPAMWATCHERS for more information about spamming.)

2. A comment is deleted if:

(a) It is a personal attack against us (obviously) or against another commenter/s. The Filipino Australian is a community-based website where we hope to generate friendship and cooperation among the members. Personal attacks therefore have no place in this website).

(b) It contains racist terms.

(c) It is worded so as to create an unpleasant controversy or negative reaction. Controversy may attract inbound site traffic, but we do not want negatively-driven traffic.

(d) It contains links to websites or webpages with no other intent than to advertise a website or a webpage including members’ webpages, brand, product or service. (For advertisements on this site, please contact us using the advertising link. We can assure you, we charge a very reasonable rate.)

(e) It is hateful, scurrilous, negative, offensive and obscene.

(f) It is not relevant to the topic of the post or to the post itself.

3. Since messages on the comments box are publicly displayed, if what you only want is to contact us, for example, technical support, please use the appropriate online Contact form. We are more than happy to entertain your queries and correspond with you.

That’s about it.

We hope you will continue to enjoy a pleasant and productive interaction with other members and writers.
