There appears to be a fresh openness and a conciliatory attitude in Mr Sayas’ words. This is, to me, is a very promising start. I like the way he accepts several, independent, celebrations of Philippine Independence Day. I would like to see how he is able to pass on this vision down to PCC-NSW’s affiliate organisations and how he implements his promised dialogue with the rest of the Filipino community in NSW. My congratulations and sincere best wishes to PCC-NSW president Arturo ‘Atoy’ Sayas on his election. Mabuhay ka.

Congratulations to the new elected set of officers!

As for the Filipino Seniors Group, why did the previous PCC-NSW council not make steps to address the Senior Group’s concerns? It must have been serious enough for them to use a public event , such as the elections, to gain attention, and to voice out their protest.

Does the new PCC-NSW council have avenues to address and acknowledge grievances like this?
