Medieval Fayre: Stepping back in time

Nurragingy Reserve in Doonside, Blacktown is host again to the Blacktown City Medieval Fayre over two days on Saturday May 19 and Sunday May 20 from 10 am to 4pm.

Visitors can immerse themselvesĀ in medieval culture with the birds of prey show, medieval displays, combat artillery, handmade arts and crafts, free camel and pony rides and working blacksmith hut.

As in previous years, the International Jousting Competition will be the highlight of the 2018 event with riders from around the world seeking to claim the prestigious title.

Visitors will experience the excitement of living history at its best and all spectators are encouraged to come dressed in their favourite medieval attire and participate in the best dressed competition.

A free shuttle bus service will be available from Blacktown Station both days.

The Medieval Fayre is part of the week-long Blacktown City Festival (May 18-27), an annual festival of food, culture and entertainment.
