
The countdown is on to Strathfield’s biggest annual event, with the Strathfield Spring Festival announcing 2011 X Factor winner and pop star Reece Mastin will headline this year’s festival on Sunday 2 September.
Following a popular win on the hit talent program, X Factor, the 17 year old has already secured two number one singles on the ARIA Singles chart, including his current hit third single ‘Shout it Out’.
Reece Mastin’s refreshing style and sound will be popular with the rockers at heart and those wanting to experience a high energy stage performance from a great young Australian talent.
With the anticipation of Mastin’s forthcoming album, the Strathfield Spring Festival is ready to rock the audiences this Father’s Day at Strathfield Park.

Hosted by Strathfield Council, the 2012 Spring Festival will feature a seven hour entertainment line up including Reece Mastin, Japanese drumming ensemble TaikOz, local dance talents and music artists plus, carnival rides, a Kidz World of fun and activities, merchandise stalls, community displays, showbags, food and giveaways.
For the first time, the Spring Festival will feature a Sports Quarter with football, soccer and cricket and baseball clinics, martial arts demonstrations, AMF bowling lane, a fishing adventure activity, remote control car racing and more!

Last year, song writer and guitarist Oliver Gadista and his Sweetmojo band were among the headliners on the festival’s entertainment stage.
“Falling on Father’s Day, the Strathfield Spring Festival will ensure that the whole family can enjoy a great family day out with competitions and special offers just all the family,” said Strathfield City Council festival coordinator Carly Hackett.
A dedicated Kidz World will have the children entertained for hours with performers, rides, animal farm, pony rides and lots of activities.
Express shuttle bus to the festival is available from the Strathfield train station.
