Fil-Aust independent record label launches

Beaufunkcious Records, the first Filipino-Australian owned independent record label, launched recently with the release of a 15-track album called “ONE”.

The album, made up of original compositions and performed by Australian artists of different cultural backgrounds, can be downloaded immediately at $10 per album download or $1 per song at the Beaufunkcious website.

“Proceeds from the album sale will go towards THE MOB aired at 2RDJ 88.1fm & SWR 99.9fm. This is a radio program aimed towards helping original and independent artists of all ages,” said Beaufunkcious PR director Bless Salonga, adding that Beaufunkcious is now accepting applications from interested artists seeking talent marketing and management.

Beaufunkcious is a member of the Australian Independent Record Label Association.

The album was first rolled out in March this year for a charity project and generated $13,600 from two sold out shows and 500 CDs purchased.
