When I speak of cranes, I refer not to the two-legged animal kind; but instead, to that of the tall steel machinery type.
These cranes are now an almost ever present sights within Perth CBD, in the nation’s fastest growing State. It’s a city on the move, with it’s fast growing population of 1.7 million people in the greater metropolitan area alone.
It is home to more than 18,000 inner city residents, and caters for some 110,000 daily visitors.
For someone like me who has recently moved to Western Australia from Sydney, and I use the word “recently” loosely, this metropolis is changing right before my eyes, without the need for a magician’s magic wand!
So armed with my “weapon of collection-iphone4s”, I am much like a child let loose in a lollieland!
I have decided to share some of these recently taken photos to speak for me instead, and methinks, that at the rate Perth is expanding, there will be more of these to come, so here are my top 8 photos with corresponding brief descriptions.
Enjoy!

@Benny – I can relate to the scenes in your photos, especially to those of the imposing cranes which are the first thing I noticed when I visited Perth in May last year. I saw the cranes as signs of economic progress, but you saw the beauty, the “romance” and poetry in those machines. Thanks so much for sharing.
I am truly honoured and humbled Tito Romy by your kind words!
Maraming Salamat Po!🙏🙏🙏
Pics do speak louder than words, so you must sustain this series as your own inimitable way of blogging. One day, I see us doing a production where I can use a collage of your own masterpieces as a centerpiece for a concert. Another jewel in The Filipino Australian’s golden tiarra, this!
Thank you my dear friend/mentor!
I will heed your suggestion and will post Part 2 soon, if ok with Tito Romy.
Sometimes, being lost for words can be a blessing too. Cheers!
