The Australian national handball team smashed their New Zealand counterparts 2-0 in the two day qualifier series held Friday June 22 and Saturday June 23 at the Dural Sport and Leisure Centre.

The win qualified Australia to represent the Oceania in the handball world championship to be held in January 2013 in Spain.

Australia scored an identical 31-10 goals against New Zealand in each match.

Fil-Aussie Bevan Calvert this week named team captain led his team in the assault with 11 goals.
