Nutritionist Neria Soliman introduced recently her latest concoction of fruit drink called “Hot Mamaz’ Fancy Drink” to Hot Mamaz (HMZ) members and friends in a party celebrating the group’s recent successful fundraising for the Queensland flood victims.
Held in Ofelia Kasilag’s newly built housedeck in Blacktown last April 2, the party was attended by other HMZ members and officers including Arlene Howe, Sheila Collantes, Sue Chang, Michelle Vallejo, Lourdes Catap, Luzette Saez, Nonna Aguas, Bing Williams and Angel Laney. Others who attended were Mimi Oliva, Allen Mallari, Nonna Mallari, John Ajodani, Jun Enriquez, Brian Babon, Nick Coronel, and Rommel Catap.
The fruit drink is a mixture of coconut juice, yoghurt, avocado blended in crushed ice.
Why these ingredients?
“Yoghurt which aids in digestion is recently tested to help in the reducing regimen, avocado gives stamina to active dancers like the Hot Mamaz, and coconut juice is said to be a powerful agent for longevity,” said Ms Soliman.
Hot Mamaz Fancy Drink is one of the concoctions featured in Ms Soliman’s latest book Magayon, a Taste of Bicol and a Touch of Class, a book for international release.
If you want to prepare the drink, here is how:
Ingredients (serves one tall glass):
1 cup coco juice
1 pc small avocado
1/4 cup flesh of young coconut
1/4 cup low fat yoghurt
1 drop vanilla
4 pcs crushed ice together in the blender
Procedure:
Mix all ingredients in a blender except for the coconut flesh.
Garnish with strips of coconut flesh.
