Filipino dancers top DanceSport competitions

The National Capital DanceSport Championships held at the Australian Institute of Sports Arena in Canberra during the last weekend, 25-27 June, saw Charles Laraga and Ronnie Vergara in the top five in Latin.

NSW delegates Gerry Garcia and Shirley have been crowned for the seventh time as champion dancers in the Latin Open competition.

Philippine delegates to the NCDC Charles Lagara and Ronnie Vergara flanked by the writer (right) and Ofelia Kasilag. Charles and Ronnie, first place in Latin last year, placed fifth in the recent dance fest.
