Four Filipinos shape up against four Australians in a boxing card at Wyong Rugby Club north of Sydney this Friday, May 22.

It will the first time four Pinoys, all from Bohol Boxing Stable in Liverpool NSW, fight on the same card in Australia.

Super-featherweight Jun-Mar Dulog takes on Jackson Asiku, welterweight Ariel Omongos fights Fatai Onikeke, Roel Mangan faces William Kickett, and Percy Samson crosses mitts with Dean Livanos.

Dulog and Omongos have been campaigning in Australia for more than a year now. Mangan and Samson are newcomers. They will face some of Australia’s toughest opponents but the Filipinos are well tuned for the showdown, according to Bohol Boxing Stable manager Dido Bohol.

”That said, it will be important for our boys to dominate the fight emphatically, or the decisions would go the the local fighters,” Bohol said. ”That’s a fact they have to face, especially now with all the hype about world champion Manny Pacquiao.

”Fight fans now expect Filipino fighters to emulate Pacquiao and win decisively.”

The boxing card promoted by Angelo Hyder, with Patrick Kennedy as matchmaker, will have 10 bouts. The other bouts pit Josh Wood againt Clint Hoskins, Michael O’Donnell against Rio Hidaka, Christ Evers against Jerry Spanidis, Brendan Batty against Kane Buckley, and CJ Stevens against Royden Lee.

First bouts start at 7.30pm.
