Young journos joined the second workshop of the Filipino Press Group of Sydney at the Corregidor Centre in Rooty Hill yesterday, Sunday, March 29.

The workshop, News and Feature Writing Basics, was conducted by Financial Standard editor Michelle Baltazar.

Topics, among many, included interviewing techniques, negotiating the subjective, descriptions, titles, timing, the intro, the ”who-what-where-when”, news writing errors to avoid, and references.

In attendance were young journalists Ania Aquino and Ausseela Thanapongsakorn, and public relations officers Tom Baena and Richard Ford.

The press group’s next workshop will be conducted by Emanila.com publisher- founder Romy Cayabyab on the subject of New Media and Its Increasing Impact on Today’s Newspaper Industry. It will be held 10am-12.30pm on Sunday, April 26, at the Corregidor Centre in Rooty Hill. #
