Countdown to Australia Day NSW events on Sunday
On Sunday 18 January the Australia Day Council of New South Wales (ADCNSW) will play host to its official 2009 Australia Day Media Launch.
This year’s launch event will showcase Australia’s unique identity and culture through a visual display of the great Aussie backyard and lifestyle with well renowned Ambassadors sharing their stories in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the development Australia Day Ambassador program.
In addition, the Launch will unveil the celebrations taking place across NSW on Australia Day 2009.
Penny Cook, a long-standing Australia Day ambassador, actress and TV presenter will MC the launch.
Also in attendance will be Mr Michael Egan, Chairman of the ADCNSW and Australia Day Ambassadors.
Guests will be treated to a live performance by multi award winning Australian songstress Katie Noonan, who is also headlining the Sydney Ports Jazz on the Water Concert at Pyrmont Park on Australia Day.
