Assistance to Cyclone Frank victims continues

Banag-Banag Inc. (the Bisayan – speaking association in Australia) is calling the generosity of all Filipino-Australians for assistance to the victims of Cyclone Frank.

With strong winds and heavy rains hitting hard the Visayan region last June. to date there are still reports of families in the Panay Region who are still homeless and who are in dire need for assistance to buy food, clothing and medicines.

Through the endorsement of the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney, Banag-Banag will lead and account for the collection of the donations in New South Wales and coordinate the distribution to worthwhile recipients of the worst affected areas in the Visayan region.

A special Banag-Banag Westpac Bank account has been opened for cash donations – BSB: 032-382 Account Number: 246925

Cash donations will be received on or before 15th of September 2008. This deadline will assist for the planning and distribution. Likewise, acknowledgement of receipt for cash donations will be mailed to the donor by email request.
