Philippine National Day was celebrated in Lismore last June 1 at the South Lismore Bowling Club with Philippine Consul General Ma Theresa Lazaro and Lismore Mayor Merv King in attendance.
About 300 people joined the celebration, with “fiesta” as the theme.
Joint flag-raising and launching of “Read Philippines” was held on the same day at the Lismore City Council Chambers attended by Consul General Lazaro, Mayor King, Councillors Jenny Dowell and Graham Meineke, Member of Parliament Janelle Saffin and Lismore Public Library librarian Lucy Kinsley, and leaders and members of the community and Filipinos of the Northern Rivers.

Thank you very much.
