Philippine National Day celebrations in Orange

PHILIPPINE NATIONAL DAY was observed in Orange, Central NSW over the last weekend with the participation of around 160 people.

Vice Consul Anthony Reyes joined deputy Mayor Chris Gryllis and Filipinos from Orange, Bathurst and Blayney at flag raising ceremony at Orange Civic Centre. The celebration continued with afternoon of Filipino cultural activies at Kenna Hall with song dances by Orange Filipino Australian Cultural club and Martial Arts demonstration by Advanced World Martial Arts Taekwondo headed by Guz Rodriguez.”

The Philippine Australian community in Orange observed Philippine National Day last May 24.

Orange is located about 3.5 hours west of Sydney, 3 hours north west of Canberra and in close proximity to the regional centres of Bathurst and Dubbo in Central NSW.
