Dancing makes Arlene a star

Australia's highest Oscar ballroom dance test examination medal was awarded to a Filipina, Arlene Howe, at the recent tests in Bankstown RSL Club in Sydney's west.
Ms Howe, an Australian-Filipina, performed her tests with partner Albert Dimarucut.
Her ballroom dancing achievements include placing first in the Open Gold Star event and fifth overall at the World ProAm championships in the USA with partner Mr Dimarucut..
Mr Howe's interest in formal dance medal training in Latin-American and standard ballroom started in 2003, when she enter the Senior ProAm competition under coach Mr Dimarucut.
She has since performed a community functions. #
